These Terms govern your use of the Pauza app and the pauza.ai website. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you don't agree — don't use Pauza.
TL;DR — use Pauza for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don't cheat, don't abuse it, don't try to game the token system. Tokens are an in-app currency with no cash value. PRO is an auto-renewing subscription via Apple. We can change the service, but we'll tell you first.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("user", "you") and A24Z LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company registration details available on request), whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Pauza", "we", "us", "our").
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some EEA countries) to use Pauza. If you're under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your Apple ID (used for Sign in with Apple) secure. Tell us straight away at info@pauza.ai if you think your account has been compromised.
One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to farm referral bonuses, tokens, or challenge wins is not allowed and will get all connected accounts suspended.
Pauza challenges are played for in-app tokens only. They are not gambling, contests of chance, or real-money wagers:

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, and forfeit associated token balances.
Pauza includes social features where users see each other's nicknames, display names, profile photos, and AI-generated avatars (for example in the friends list and leaderboard). This is user-generated content.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not create, upload, or share a nickname, name, photo, avatar, or message that is offensive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, threatening, deceptive (impersonation), or otherwise objectionable.
To keep Pauza safe we provide, inside the app:
We review reports of objectionable content and act on them — by removing the content and/or ejecting the user who provided it — within 24 hours of receiving the report. By using Pauza's social features you agree to these terms. Reports can also be sent to info@pauza.ai.
Pauza, the Aura designs, the token system, the UI, and all code are owned by A24Z LTD and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website as intended. Content you submit (challenge messages, journal entries, profile info) remains yours; you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it as needed to run the service.
Pauza integrates with Apple (Screen Time, HealthKit, StoreKit, Sign in with Apple), Google Firebase (auth, database, push, crash reporting), Sentry (anonymised crash reporting), and OpenAI (only when you request an AI insight). Their terms apply in parallel. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third parties, though we'll do our reasonable best to keep integrations working.
We may add, modify, or remove features. We'll notify you of material changes (especially changes affecting tokens, PRO, or charges) at least 14 days in advance via in-app notice or email. We may also need to perform maintenance that briefly interrupts service.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your licence to use Pauza ends; any tokens in your balance are forfeited; statutory refund rights (where applicable) are unaffected.
Pauza is provided "as is". We don't guarantee it will eliminate your screen time, fix your attention span, or be uninterrupted or error-free. We make no medical claims. If phone use is seriously impacting your wellbeing, please speak to a qualified professional — Pauza is not a substitute for healthcare.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything that UK law does not permit us to limit.
Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or related to the service in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us for the service in that period, or £50 — whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses (including lost data, lost profits, or lost tokens).
If someone brings a claim against us because of your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of Pauza, you'll cover our reasonable costs of defending it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except that if you are a consumer resident in another country, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections under the law of your country of residence.
Before going to court, please try to resolve any dispute by emailing info@pauza.ai. We'll do our best to sort it quickly.
If any clause of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor if our company is sold or restructured (notice will be given).
